DEAL - Drake Environmental Action League is a committed group of students involved in increasing awareness and sustainability on Drake's campus, in the community, and beyond. Some of what we do: grassroots work for national organizations, sponsoring great speakers, protests, working with administration, environmental conferences, state environmental politics, improving recycling programs, and being a member group of Iowa Students Towards Environmental Protection.
NAMI on Campus Drake University accomplishes the following missions and goals: develop and implement educational events and seminars to increase awareness surrounding mental health amongst students, faculty, and administrators; organize campus-wide events to combat stigmas associated with mental health; host campus-wide de-stress events; and promote access to on- and off- campus resources. Therefore, the impact that our group has on the Drake community is educational and resourceful to ensure equal access and support to mental health services for students of all demographic backgrounds.
Our organization is responsible for planning large-scale events for the student body to enjoy! We hope our organization can encourage students to get involved on campus and attend these events to increase student life at Drake!
